Try serving any of our preserves with baked brie cheese and crackers, top ice cream, cheesecake, yogurt, oatmeal or even adding some to your favorite BBQ sauce.  Add any of our syrups to coffee, tea, lemonade or seltzer water for a twist.

Eva Gates Spiced Apple Glaze

  • Mince 1 medium shallot & 1 garlic clove, sauté in vegetable or olive oil until translucent
  • Add 1-16oz jar of Spiced Apple preserves & heat thoroughly
  • Add 2T of brandy, simmer until reduced to a thick glaze
  • Stir in 1T of butter

Serve over pork, salmon, chicken or wild game.

Eva Gates Huckleberry Martini

 

  • 2 shots of gin or vodka
  • ½ shot of Eva Gates Huckleberry syrup

Shaken or stirred, on the rocks or up, anyway you do it is delicious!

Eva Gates Huckleberry Mule

  • 1 & 1/2oz of vodka
  • 1 slice of lime (squeezed)
  • 2oz of Eva Gates Homemade Huckleberry syrup (or to taste) and ice cubes.
  • Shake and pour into mug.
  • Add ½ cup ginger beer.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge or fresh mint.

Eva Gates Huckleberry Vinaigrette

 

  • 3oz extra virgin olive oil
  • 1oz red wine vinegar
  • 1T of Dijon mustard
  • 2T of Huckleberry preserves
  • Add all ingredients to a jar, cover with a lid, shake vigorously until well blended. Add salt & pepper to taste.

Also makes a great marinade for meat or vegetables.

Eva Gates Blackcap Grill Glaze

 

  • 1 cup of Blackcap preserves
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½-1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • ¼ tsp crushed dried thyme

Bring all ingredients to a boil in a small sauce pan, simmer on med heat 15-20 mins or until reduced by half. Glaze will thicken as it cools. Brush on any meat or vegetables the last 5 mins of grilling. Serve remaining glaze as a dipping sauce!
